Calgary, Alberta, September 7, 2021 – Black Owl Systems Inc. lease accounting software company announced today the appointment of two new members to the board of directors, Aroon Sequeira, FCA, FCBV, ICD.D and Patrick F. Ross, bringing numerous years of executive leadership and board experience to our company. Aroon is the founder of Sequeira Partners, one of western Canada’s prominent corporate finance advisory firms. Patrick has held numerous executive and board roles across Canada before joining Lindsay Goldberg an international investment firm based in New York.
The announcement underscores our commitment to grow our company to deliver innovative lease accounting solutions, solving complex accounting challenges, leveraging modern software technologies.

Prior to founding Sequeira Partners, Aroon Sequeira was managing partner for the Edmonton office of Ernst & Young Canada. He currently sits on several corporate and not for profit boards including RAM Elevators & Lifts Inc., First Truck Centre, Alberta Indigenous Opportunities Corp., and the Business Council of Alberta. Aroon was an early investor and Chair of RecallMax, a SaaS company, which was subsequently sold in 2020 to a prominent Alberta based private equity firm.

Patrick Ross has extensive experience identifying and working with companies across North America as an investor, director, and senior executive. That company grew from less than ten recurring customers to over two thousand.
